Ginseng – timely help for stress

Why is stress dangerous?

Under stress, it is customary to understand a complex of reactions of the human body to physical or psychological influences that disturb its balance.

Perhaps in our time, everyone is exposed to stress almost every day. Environmental pollution, malnutrition, a fast-paced life that requires us to make quick and correct decisions – all this does not allow us to relax even for a minute.

Stress is a natural reaction of the body to stress factors, and without it, the normal functioning of a person would be impossible. “Everything is good in moderation,” says folk wisdom. So, excessive and prolonged stress can cause considerable harm to the body. Depression, nervous disorders, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal diseases are an incomplete list of ailments that are the consequences of prolonged stress.

Stress? No, I haven’t heard

Korean ginseng helps to increase not only physical and mental endurance, but also resistance to a variety of stress factors, including toxins, radiation, extreme heat, etc.

Ginseng is able to stimulate the formation of enzymes and normalize the functioning of the body after biochemical disturbances caused by stress have occurred. Thus, at a critical moment, a person can receive timely assistance.

This important property of ginseng was first noticed and described back in the 60s by the Russian scientist I. Brekhman in his book Ginseng.

In this book, an interesting experiment is presented, during which experimental rats were exposed to a strong stress factor (swimming in cold water). As a result, characteristic pathological changes were noticed in them: hypertrophy of the adrenal glands, a decrease in the thymus, and the formation of stomach ulcers. The combination of these signs is called the “Selye triad” – three characteristic signs that accompany stress. As a result of the experiment, it was found that ginseng affects the deep biochemical processes of the body, significantly increasing the level of protection against all these pathological disorders.

There are 3 stages of adaptation of the body to stressful conditions:

  • anxiety
  • resistance
  • exhaustion

Summarizing the data of scientific research, we can draw the following conclusion: under stress, ginseng is able to activate defense mechanisms at the stage of anxiety, increase resistance and prevent the exhaustion of the body.
